At Claryfy, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request deletion of your account and all associated data from our platform.
What Data We Store
When you use Claryfy, we store the following types of data associated with your account:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and hashed password.
- Business information: Business names, addresses, categories, and location details you provide.
- Scan results: AI platform responses, reputation scores, analyses, and recommendations generated for your businesses.
- Usage data: Login history, feature usage, and interaction patterns.
- Billing information: Subscription and transaction records (payment details are stored by Stripe, not by us directly).
- Connected accounts: OAuth tokens and credentials for third-party platforms you connect (e.g., Facebook, Google).
How to Request Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your data through any of the following methods:
Option 1: Email Request
Send an email to support@claryfy.ai with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” and include:
- The email address associated with your Claryfy account.
- Whether you want to delete your entire account or specific data.
Option 2: Contact Form
Submit a data deletion request through our contact page. Select “Data Deletion” as the topic and provide your account email.
What Happens After Your Request
- Verification: We will verify your identity by confirming the email address on file for your account.
- Processing: Once verified, we will begin the deletion process within 48 hours.
- Deletion scope: All personal data, business profiles, scan results, analyses, recommendations, connected account tokens, and usage data will be permanently deleted.
- Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.
Data Retained After Deletion
After account deletion, we may retain certain data only as required by law or legitimate business purposes:
- Transaction records: Billing and payment records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax and accounting compliance.
- Legal obligations: Data required to comply with legal proceedings or regulatory requirements.
- Anonymized data: Aggregated, non-identifiable analytics data that cannot be linked back to you.
Third-Party Data
When you delete your Claryfy account, we revoke all connected third-party tokens (e.g., Facebook, Google) and delete them from our systems. However, you may also want to revoke access directly from those platforms:
- Facebook: Go to Settings > Apps and Websites > remove Claryfy.
- Google: Go to your Google Account > Security > Third-party apps > remove Claryfy.
Timeline
Data deletion requests are processed within 30 days of identity verification. In most cases, deletion is completed within 48 hours. You will be notified by email once the process is finished.
